Learn how we achieved these results together:

Since October 2022, the City of Marseille has been implementing shared mobility solutions across its diverse municipalities. Like in many cities, managing e-scooters proved complex. In February 2024, Marseille began issuing fines, a crucial move to enforce regulations and promote responsible micro-mobility. During this period, Vianova collaborated closely with the city and major operators like Lime and Voi to navigate the complex landscape of shared mobility deployment, management, reporting, and fine enforcement. The main challenge was regulating and monitoring e-scooters to ensure public safety and order amid the rapid expansion of micro-mobility options.

Thanks to Marseille's collaboration with Vianova, the city has been able to:

  • Enhance Regulatory Enforcement and Monitoring by utilizing Vianova's Control Page, which swiftly identifies and visualizes non-compliant e-scooters and ensures strict adherence to city regulations.
  • Improve Fines Management by effectively managing e-scooter fines through the Control Page, which provides instant alerts about infringing devices, facilitating rapid and effective responses.
  • Optimize Enforcement Routes by implementing an AI-driven infringement clustering feature that aggregates high-density violations within a 3km² radius.
  • Make More Informed Decisions by generating monthly reports and daily alerts that enrich Marseille's understanding of infringement patterns and usage.
